Welcome to the AMCONAL Area 2 Jackson County group. This group is for anyone living in Jackson County Alabama or any of the surrounding counties. AMCONAL is made up of people from all walks of life. You don't have to be a serviceman/woman or have any law enforcement or special skills. The entire AMCON/AMCONAL community is for any American who loves our country to share ideas and stay informed of real current events, not just what the media wants to tell us. It is also an opportunity to network without the censorship of social media outlets and build a community to support and learn from each other in areas such as preparedness, skills training and awareness. AMCONAL is a community of like minded Americans to weather disasters manmade or natural, no one can do it all alone. If you love your country, love your family, God, and believe in the Constitution of the United States of America or any combination of such then you are who we are. If this sounds like a group you want to be a part ...

I'm copying this from Jesse (ALA2AL) @IronMaiden271 as a great place to start if you haven't already.

For those of you who found your way here because you know the risk we face, or at least suspect it, but you really don't know where to start I'll share with you my Top 10 recommendations. Take what you like and dismiss what you don't.

1. Get an Alabama Pistol Permit/Concealed Carry Permit from your county Sheriff. I recommend doing the full 5 years.

2. Get a good, reliable pistol that you can depend on. Preferably something you can conceal but as long as you can carry it and use it that's all that matters. It doesn't have to be expensive or fancy but it does have to work for you.

3. Get a GOOD holster for the pistol. One that fits it properly and provides some kind of positive retention. DO NOT get a generic soft holster from the local thrift store.

4. Learn how to properly and safely handle and use that pistol. Train with it then train with it some more and finally, keep training with it....
